Ensign '''Joe Bloggs''', a Terran, is currently the chief science officer aboard the [[USS Independence]].
Timmons' father was an engineer, but his father didn't fly on a starship around the galaxy keeping the warp cores in top running condition. Instead, he sat at a desk safe on earth designing those warp cores. His father had always hoped Timmons would follow in his footsteps and become a starship designer, but Timmons had other dreams.
