Born to in uncertain circumstances, there are some records that indicate his birth was on Delta IV when his mother returned home. Other reports indicate that he was born on Romulus as part of an experiment into cross breeding Human and Deltan physiologies. There are large parts of his early childhood years that are missing and he is determined to find them again. After the events of his childhood, Dade was allocated to adoptive parents by the Federation. He grew up in Dublin. At the age of 16, his adoptive parents divorced and it was that which influenced him to take up a secondary education at the Republic University, studying Civil and Practical Engineering. Gaining his qualifications in the school, Dade decided that Starfleet seemed like the best career option for him.
