A psilosynine inhibitor is a medication used to block the effects of psilosynine, a neurotransmitter vital for Betazoid telepathy. Although such medication cannot completely block the telepathic senses of Betazoids, it is often prescribed when such senses have become hypersensitized or when individuals are showing abnormal telepathic symptoms, such as seeing death echoes after a traumatic loss.
