Backstory/Timeline

Nikolas Malik was Born on Earth on stardate 235404.05 to a shuttle pilot and an Earth Government employee. He was the youngest of two children, and spent the majority of his formative years in competition with his sister .He was an average student during his primary and secondary school years, and decided to join Starfleet after agreeing to attend a Starfleet recruiting event in San Francisco with his friends. After dealing with the pain of constant rejection, he decided to move on and attend Tel Aviv university where he grew a deep passion for biology and medicine. Having a newfound passion for academics and medicine, he completed college and immediately applied to the Starfleet Medical Academy. Still sore from yet another denial, Nikolas applied to Starfleet Academy's satellite prep course at Berkeley, and by 2386, he managed to gain acceptance into the SFMA where he showed a profound interest in epidemiology and orthopedics. While not at the top of his class, Nikolas graduated with a deep love and skill for medicine.

Embarrassed by his numerous failed attempts at SFA admissions, he is constantly paranoid of the eventuality that a senior officer will review his admission history and question his medical competence.
