History
F'rtigg grew up on the Caitian homeworld of Ferasa (Regulus V) in a holding owned by his mother's family. As part of a big family, the desire to serve was instilled in him at a young age. It was a maternal uncle in Starfleet that convinced F'rtigg to apply to the Academy himself.
While he was interested in many subjects in the Academy, he gravitated toward Engineering early on. He found his felinoid hearing an asset in diagnosis, and wound up specializing in Warp Drive.
He did not make many close friends in the Academy, especially after the incident that led to his nickname "Captain Fluffy Pants." He looks forward to his time on the Tiger as being a new start.
