Personal and Professional History
Dareius was born in an outlying province of Alacia on Kivos Prime, and although his parents were part of the land owning class, the land they owned was relatively small. Dareius, in his youth was slow to develop the empathic mental shielding so habitually stayed to himself to avoid the emotional onslaught of others. He took to reading, watching holo-vids and really enjoyed learning and using computers, but he was too curious for his own good. By the time he was 14 he was caught hacking into a government facility. What he didn't know until it was too late was that it was not a Kriosian facility but a starfleet one. He was arrested, and sentenced to several years in prison. However instead of serving time he was offered a work release program, one that would allow him to use his rather formidable skills for the good.
By the time Dareius was 19 he had progressed from parole to joining starfleet in SIGINT intelligence work, specializing in both COMINT and ELINT areas.
For the next 20 years he had progressed to a Senior Cghief Petty Officer and then a CW2 and being sent into the field to acquire information. He became not only a seasoned hacker and intelligence officer, but becoming an investigative agent.
At 40 Dareius' goals began to shift, he wanted to do more, he wanted to travel the stars as an explorer. So at 45 he joined Starfleet's officer training program, tacking on both Tactical as well as HCO, although his specializations were Communications and Operations, his former training giving him many skills to fall back on.
By 50 he had graduated and began serving avoid the Potemkin and the Challenger, finally ending up on the Apollo. So far has he spent limited times on the bridge on any of the ships, primarily being signed below decks. He is still looking to do more.
