They could feel something for anyone (of generally any species or gender) but it requires a distinct bond, and for them they've only felt that bond once so far. They also need an understanding from the potential Non-Aurelians that though they're more similar than appearances suggest in a lot of ways, there are still differences in how affection and love is shown between them because of the many differences that do exist.

**'''"Ellie":''' Clik is unpaired romantically. This was seen as ideal by all parties involved in that decision before they left Aurelia. But they have a close tie to a beautiful lady Aurelian named Elliki. Or "Ellie" to those she likes. And she very much likes Clik. They started off as very good friends, and that is the main way their relationship exists. It did become romantic after a time, or at least more than platonic in some sense. This was seen by some as fairly non-traditional as they're seen as a same-sex coupling of sorts (it's a bit more nuanced than that with Clik's identity, but it's an easy comparison for most and Clik doesn't mind the phrasing). In their particular flock this is seen as a slightly odd inclination, especially since Ellie is not someone who was originally part of their flock from the get go, more an implant from another. Though their affections were celebrated nonetheless the same as any other coupling. The two parted amicably and with great understanding of reasons why they aren't currently a pair, and remain very close friends for the time being due to the distance between them, though they'll still flirt without shame. Suffice to say, Clik does have a strong sense of fondness and love for Ellie. She's got vibrant, scarlet feathers with gold feathers mixed in certain spots. Her feathers are soft to the touch. She's creative, and almost surprisingly delicate. Unique, and special. (She has a certain <i>Je Ne Sais Caw,</i> if you will.) Clik is more than enraptured by her if she somehow comes up in conversations.  They're always excited to get little notes, or songs, or words from her over subspace.
