Life Before Fleet
Adani Ijinia was born in 2362 on the planet Ba'ku in the Briar patch. Her parents Gartim and Ajani were intrepid botanists and had since left Adani with Gartim's sibblings for the first 13 years of her life before returning home for good in 2375 after the So'na attack. While Adani's contact with her parents was quite erradic, she did get to see them atleast once every year if not every two years and essentially was raised by her aunt and two uncles.
Adani's favorite pastime as a child was reading and justly so, Adani is a patron of litterature and her quarters are always stocked with books. She enjoyed being read to as a child by the elders of the village and has many fond memories of life before the So'na attack and subesequent introduction to the greater galaxy.
Roaming the hills with the other children and playing a Ba'ku version of hacky sack was another hobby of Adani's and differed from her parents greatly in that she was a little cautious when it came to going off the beaten path. It would seem that Adani's childhood changed right after her 13th birthday and the revelation that Starfleet had set up a duckblind on the planet.
At first Adani was nothing more then curious about the offworlders that had appeared, but as she heaard more and more stories pertaining to the officers. Where they had been, where were they from, why were they here and as she grew closer to them she became frightened and fascinated about what lurked in the stars above.
After the harrowing journey of the Ba'ku and the renegade Enterprise crew over the next few days Adani let go of some of her fear and started to embrace Federation beliefs of open technology. She was very curious about the medical equipment as medicine had been a former interest of her's.
After the Ba'ku and Starfleet went their seprate ways for now, Adani's life almost returned to normal but she took a more vested interest in medicine setting her down a career path that Adani has followed without much deviation. Adani's life continued to be unchanged even with the construction of Deep Space 12 and several other space station's within the Briar Patch and the Avalon Sector. But with the first Starfleet missions to the planet's surface Adani seemed willing to leave Ba'ku and settle her dream of becoming a Doctor. Recieving basic training from several Starfleet doctors on occasaion and self teaching some other methods, Adani's pursuits took her away from the Ba'ku life of simplicity.
At the age of 18, and after what you could call deliberation, Adani set a course for Federation Stars in 2380 after formally submitting an application through Doctor Elise Vericiao, Adani spent a few weeks on Deep Space 12 familarizing her self with Federation technology and took her mental exams durring this time. Adani was graciously accepted a month later and was brought to Earth at the Start of August.
Personality
While Adani for the most part seems to have forsaken the Ba'ku belief of simplicity she does tend to live a healthy life style of similar constructs. Adani is wise beyond her years and acts like a Elder sometimes but blends in humor and jocularity but finds the different humors of all the Federation Species "Odd". Adani never speaks ill of mostly everyone but does sometimes raise her voice to prove a point and get people back on track. In a sense she's the middle man, strong willed and assertive and only bows at someone's whim when it suits her.
Adani is still very much a pacifist though and takes the Hipocratic Oath to new hights and extremes with her belief that all life is sacred, in a sense, she wouldn't harm a fly. Mosquitoes maybe but not a fly. And has a calm and gentle glow to her.
Ambitions
Adani has ambitions to finish her degree and complete her residency on her next assignment. She has stated she has no desires to command a ship but that may change, but she is likely to refuse all promotions above Commander.
Personal Achievements
It is not uncommon for officers to hold more then two degrees from Starfleet Academy and Adani has four, Degree's: 3(One partial and almost complete)

Professional History
Adani is first and formost an excellent doctor and has run through medical school in record time mostly because of staying for extra courses over several summers but dedication is also a factor. It has been said Adani would make an Excellent Doctor but an even better Political Officer or General Envoy because of her advanced degrees in Law and Diplomacy.
Adani's tenure at the Academy was uneventful for the most part, very normal and familar of an academy history.

It would seem Cadet Ijinia is an unusual specimen for her race. She's kind and gentle to be sure but I've also seen a humorous and jouclarly scarcastic side of her similar to that of a Mark I EMH. She's an excellent officer to be sure, she stays to morals and ethics like glue and doesn't appreciate them being bended. It is evedent Ms. Ijinia has a strong distaste for black opps and more militaristic missions and has openly critized her classmates for wanting to be a part of them. While most just shove these off as the dreams of an inexperienced Medical Officer, I see something more and have much merit to them. She has ambitions to finish her JAG degree but sees Medicine as her goal.
Adani's service record is impressive, Medical School in three years(Which is because she took the time to stay an extra two months at the Academy for three years to complete some advanced courses), she had her Medical Internship Onboard the USS Roark, a Sovereign Class ship.
One thing that Troubles me though is that she declines to devulge information on what she saw durring the Roark Incident when the Roark Crew was allowed to see their futures by the Metron's. It is unknown if it is traumatic or not, but I wouldn't like to use my Empathic powers to do so.

Personal Life
Adani's personal life is one of simplicity, she reads, writes crime holonovels and plays constantly with her cat Abelsa who is always getting into trouble and is always attacking people with her playfully sharp claws.
Relationships
Abelsa:
Adani's cat Abelsa is always in her lap and is constantly giving Adani licks on the side of her arm and head to signify her affection for her beloved owner. Adani spoils Abelsa rotten and Cat toys can frequently be seen strewn around her quarters. Adani has a very good relationship with this four month old feline and while Abelsa may act out, Adani loves her without question.
Ajani Ijinia
Ajani Ijinia and Adani's relationship as mother and daughter is somewhat strained. Ajani is an intrepid Ambassador now adays, representing the Ba'ku elders council to the Federation Council. Ajani is eccentric and colorful, very uncommon for a Ba'ku but is no more wise then any of the others and that's what upsets Adani the most. That Ajani can be fun and colorful but still the wise Ba'ku she was brought up to be.
Interests
Reading Adani loves to read, she is frequently seen putting her nose into a book while scratching Abelsa behind the ears and considers reading a much healthier alternative to the holodeck. Adani enjoys crime novels and old Earth Science Fiction the most because "It's Interesting to see What Terrans thought of the universe 400 years ago". Even one of Adani's most prized posessions is a book, a Ba'ku book of the animals of her homeworld and still spends some time looking it over for nostalgic purposes.
