Nolen Hobart Kind of boyfriend? Having arrived just a smidge before Talia, Nolen Hobart the Betazoid/Human Hybrid Engineer came to see her in Sickbay after workplace accident, only to become anaphylactic and lose the ability to speak clearly. While attempting to compliment her bedside manner, she mistakenly thought he said he loved her. Or more accurately, "Wubbed" her. Therefore, after the danger passed, he started calling her Wubber as a joke. Their friendship bloomed, nothing like bonding over near death. That friendship slowly evolved into harmless prank with an extremely flirtatious undertone, leading them into a mutual game of "Flirt chicken", which almost culminated in a kiss, before the ill-timed summons from the captain. For now, the two continue to circle each other in a tense holding pattern. That is, until he was promoted to the First Officer, and in doing so, declared impropriety at the thought of their relationship expanding. That is, until a chance meeting in Sickbay, where she gave him a strongly worded suggestion to get his scat in a stack. After the battle of SB33, the two found platonic comfort that bloomed into an agreement to "try" Also he secretly loves Statler Jr. |

Statler Jr. Adorable Cuddly Bat-Friend Statler Jr. is a Pyrithian Azure-crested fruit bat gifted to Talia by Zenno, who rescued/was accidentally attacked by the little juvenile flightless bat due to a deformed wing - or possibly from being separated from his mother too soon. Zenno and Nolen Hobart stumbled into him at the trash heap on Raft 1 on an adventure for rare aftermarket Starship parts. Talia instantly fell in love with the furry little face, and named him after an ancient Terran bat she stumbled across in her research for caring for him. |
Personality
Although Talia takes her job as doctor very seriously, she is decidedly weird. She has a love for sewing clothes for the various ship based pets, as well as an affinity for baking that lead her to hugging the Captain when he suggested she use her spare time baking for awards ceremonies. Her lemon squares became unexpectedly popular. Known as a bit of a goof, she is protective of her crew's health and well being. While very aware most people have an avoidance of medical care, she has been known to nod understandingly, while still making them get on the biobed.
Background
Talia Kecia Ohnari, Born towards the end of the dominion war to Haliian parents that had gotten the reputation of "rescuing strays". Whether orphaned children or similarly displaced people. What started as Kavui being labeled "Mom" of the regiment, became more true to life as the war left more and more people displaced, and devastated by loss. Thus, she grew up around a variety of cultures and other races in a very loose definition of her family home on Halii. With that chaotic melting pot, Talia learned to treat phaser burns from careless siblings before her permanent teeth came in. Her path to medicine came about as naturally as arguing over the last cup of Muskan seed punch. Now, all grown up and serving aboard a Starship, the phaser burns are less common, but lost limbs are oddly more common...
