Ensign Desdra "Des" Nyfe is a Risian/Betazoid Yeoman. After growing up in London, Earth, raised by only her mother Isla Nyfe, she found herself on board the USS Mercury where her mother was a psychiatrist.
After the Gateway Crisis of 2390 she moved back to Earth and joined the academy to become an officer. She is currently an Ensign working as the Yeoman for Rear Admiral Quinn Reynolds the Commanding Officer of the USS Gorkon.

Starfleet Academy After working on board the USS Mercury, Desdra was influenced in joining Starfleet as an officer. She was never fully sure where her abilities would lie, so she trained with the idea of becoming a Communications and Operations specialist after the Gateway Crisis of 2390. The Mercury was deactivated, and while the others joined the USS Garuda she left and returned to Earth to join the Academy. During her time at the academy, she was selected to be the Yeoman of Rear Admiral Quinn Reynolds aboard the USS Gorkon.
