Background
Childhood and Adolescense
Ashlı was raised as the only child of Elcin and Farah Sydin, the co-owners of a popular restaurant on Earth. Despite being a bright and capable young girl, Ashlı's personality could best be described as 'difficult'. Her parents struggled to discipline her due to her academic success - she consistently produced high grades and was well liked by her teachers.
Education
As Ashlı grew older, she quickly realised that stepping into her mothers footsteps wasn't appealing to her. Instead, she secured an apprenticeship at an Embassy, where she gained valuable experience in diplomacy and intercultural communication. It was this experience inspired her to pursue a career in Starfleet. Despite the challenges of adjusting to life at Academy, Ashlı excelled in her studies and quickly made a name for herself as a talented and dedicated cadet.
USS Excalibur-A and Starbase 118 Ops
After years of working for different diplomats and a steady career progression, Ash was posted to the USS Excalibur where she spent several months before being asked to transfer to the USS Artemis as mission specialist. Unwilling to jeopardise her career, Ashlı requested a transfer to Ops.
Missions and B-Plots
When Cmdr Mackenzie and Lt Dakora receive a message about possible information regarding the recent poisoning attack they embark on an unsanctioned investigation, sending the crew of the Excalibur on a mission to find out the whereabouts of the officers and the cause of their secrecy.
