Personal History

Rei was born on Earth, she was raised in Japan by her parents and grandparents. While living on Earth, Rei studied in her family’s Dojo, where her grandparents teach an ancient Japanese fighting style.

Rei also spent considerable time off world in her youth. Rei partners held jobs as archeologists. When Rei parents were assigned to various planets, Rei and her brother would accompany them on their digs.

Via per parent’s jobs, Rei was influenced by different ancient languages. From watching her parent’s decode/translate these languages, Rei developed a considerable interest in other cultures and the galaxy around her.

When Rei was of age, she enrolled in Star Fleet Academy, and Graduated as a Security officer. Rei also graduated with a degree from the Academy in Astro-Engineering, which latter lead to her transfer to the Engineering section.

Rei brother, however choose a different path, and is currently self-employed as a Trader.

Professional History

Rei joined Star Fleet, when she reached the entry age. Rei was trained as a Security Officer, and graduated as such from Star Fleet Academy. However due to an attack on SB118, and the Chief Engineering Officer being killed, Rei was reassigned to Engineering. This appointment was made permanent after a few months.
