Galon grew up on Deneb Kaitos V, literally in the shadow of the main facility of the Federation Academy of Science. His Father, Grekal Sudra, is a member of the Academy with a specialty in subspace physics; his mother is a specialist in therapeutic biophysics. Most of his siblings are also involved in various scientific fields, Gutre in astrophysics, Ydrith in xenoarcheology, Ula in psychoeconomics. Osala, only a year older than Galon, is somewhat a black sheep, having gone into medicine, indeed, into General Practice, a "practical" rather than a speculative field. Galon applied for the Starfleet Academy at Osala's suggestion. The choice to enter Starfleet rather than to pursue an academic career is still a sore point between Galon and his parents.

Backstory/Timeline

Galon is a bright, sensitive young man with a tendency to be a little flighty. While friendly, he does not form personal attachments easily. In social situations, he either acts the wallflower, or the sort of person with too much information on every subject. Galon is fully aware of his defects, and has devised a system of bizarre self- deceptions to try to trick himself out of his faults. These efforts have to-date met with a variety of success.

Academically, Galon excelled in every science; indeed, some of his professors faulted him for not choosing a specialty. However he made only middling grades in practical engineering and had to take his "Intro to Starship Security Protocols" class twice. His professors have great hope that he will mature aboard a starship, so long as he has strong guidance.
