On first appearance, a simple agrarian humanoid race that had no significant advancements for over 10,000 years. On stardate 3198.4, the true nature of the Organians revealed an extremely advanced civilizations of noncorporeal beings. The Organians were humanoid once several hundred thousand years ago, but they evolved into near ommipotent beings having developed beyond their physical bodies a millennia ago. They merely created the physical appearance of a simplistic culture for the benefit of the corporeal life-forms that visit and they were considered to be just as they appeared until they made their existance known in 2267.
The Organians are responsible for the Organian Peace Treaty in 2267, which was responsible for peace between the Federation and the Klingon Empire until the two allied many years later. They displayed just how powerful they could be collectively by disarming a Federation starship and a small Klingon invasion fleet. They imposed a treaty between the Federation and the Klingon Empire because they detested violence and there world is along the border and along a strategic corridor. The treaty they imposed established the neutral zone. They predicted the Federation-Klingon detente by at least 40 years.
