Personal History

Aurora was born on Earth to a wealthy family; she is the only daughter of deceased Starfleet Capt. Elena Rose James and wealthy casino owner, Todd Mark James. Her mother died giving birth to her, and her father sent her to only the best private schools in the Upper West Side of New York City. She showed great promise in linguistics as a kid and graduated high school at the top of her class as Valedictorian a year early, speaking seven distinct native Earth languages fluently: English, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, and Italian.

In addition to her love of languages she was quite the sponge when it came to absorbing new information. She attended New York University with a double major in Psychology and Sociology gaining both B.S. Degreesand a Ph.D. It was revealed during her freshman year Psychology class that she had a photographic memory, capable of allowing her to fly right through any book, test, and assignment she was ever given and allowed her to once again be the top of her class as Valedictorian. After her stunning graduation speech and her small family reunion with her father, she was hit hard by the reality of the fact that her father was an unhappy and dying man as he was just diagnosed with lung cancer and he had every intention to kill himself after selling everything and leaving her with his vast fortune. Despite this, sheleft for Starfleet command as planned with her father’s blessing.

While at Starfleet, she spent the next four years majoring in advanced tactical training and the learning of alien languages. AJ learned to speak Vulcan, Acamarian, Denobulan, Gideon, Kobliad, Brekkian, and Argelian. She is fresh out of the Starfleet Academy at age 25, at the top of her class. This time however, her father wasn’t at her reunion but she had a letter with his will waiting for her instead. Though heartbroken, she maintains a calm and collected exterior with the intent of honoring her parents’ memories.
