The Intelligent Lifeform Index is our RPG's central database of Intelligent Aliens which can be used for role playing in our organization.

Please Note: Work in Progress...

After some long thought, I've come to the decision that the ILI would be best served on the Wiki where everyone could update it and take part in the process. There would need to be some minor 'checks,' to avoid any serious issues, but for the most part I think it will be successful.

Introduction

The ILI attempts to be a complete list of Star Trek species seen onscreen. The main listing of species is the "jumping off point." Accessing through the link below, you can find an alphabetical list of all species, listed with their playability designation (Permitted/Restricted/Forbidden).

Ways to Browse

There are three basic ways to browse the species in the ILI:

  1. View the complete list: as mentioned above, you can simply read the whole list at this location.
  2. Browse the category: through this category, you can find all the species, also in an alphabetical categorization.
  3. Browse by playbility: If you want to find which species can be played, or not played, use the links below:

Playability Designation

The playability designation is the marker for which species can be used as primary characters in SIM. There are three basic markers:

  • Permitted: Species in this category are playable by all members.
  • Restricted: These species can only be played with a staff member's permission, and cannot be played as primary characters.
  • Forbidden: Any species listed in this category are barred from being played by any members except in NPC, short-term capacities. This may be due to super-powers (Qs), or villain status (Borg).
