After some long thought, I've come to the decision that the ILI would be best served on the Wiki where everyone could update it and take part in the process. There would need to be some minor 'checks,' to avoid any serious issues, but for the most part I think it will be successful. Here's how it's going to work:

The main listing of species, which will be the "jumping off point," will be a protected page. Only admins will be able to edit that, and even then we'll be able to see if it's been edited by the "Recent Changes" page and keeping it on our watchlist. In that way, we can control the intregrity of the "Playable"/"Restricted"/"Forbidden" categories of each species. The complete listing of species with their indicators is here:

The Intelligent Lifeform Index is our RPG's central database of Intelligent Aliens which can be used for role playing in our organization.

Please Note: Work in Progress...

After some long thought, I've come to the decision that the ILI would be best served on the Wiki where everyone could update it and take part in the process. There would need to be some minor 'checks,' to avoid any serious issues, but for the most part I think it will be successful.

Playability Designation

The playability designation is the marker for which species can be used as primary characters in SIM. There are three basic markers:

  • Permitted: Species in this category are playable by all members.
  • Restricted: These species can only be played with a staff member's permission, and cannot be played as primary characters.
  • Forbidden: Any species listed in this category are barred from being played by any members except in NPC, short-term capacities. This may be due to super-powers (Qs), or villain status (Borg).
