Enlisted

Crewman 3rd Class through Crewman 1st Class
Located on Decks 8, 9, and 10

Enlisted crewmembers share quarters with one other crewmate, though the rooms can be double-bunked to sleep up to 4 people. Enlisted quarters are slightly smaller versions of the quarters assigned to NCOs and ensigns, and typically include 2 bedrooms with standard beds, connected by a living/working area. A washroom with ultrasonic shower is located off of each bedroom. A food replicator and a personal holographic viewer are located in the living area. Pets are not permitted in these quarters.

Junior officers and NCOs

Petty Officer 3rd Class through Ensign
Located on Deck 5

Standard living quarters are provided for both Starfleet non-commissioned officers and ensigns. These personnel are expected to share their living quarters with another crewmate due to space restrictions aboard the ship. Two NCOs or two ensigns are assigned to a suite. Accommodations include 2 bedrooms with standard beds, connected by a living/working area. A washroom with an ultrasonic shower is located off of each bedroom. A food replicator and a personal holographic viewer are located in the living area. Small pets are permitted in these quarters.

Senior officers

Lieutenant Junior Grade through Commander
Located on Deck 4

Starfleet personnel from the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade through Commander are given one set of quarters to themselves. In addition, department heads and their assistants (regardless of rank) are granted such privileges as well, in an effort to provide a private environment to perform off-duty work. Accommodations typically include a small bathroom, a bedroom with standard bed, a living/working area, a food replicator, an ultrasonic shower, personal holographic viewer, and provisions for pets.

Commanding and Executive officers

Located on Deck 2

The commanding officer and executive officer of the USS Excalibur-A have special quarters. These quarters are much more luxurious than any others on the ship, with the exception of the VIP/diplomatic guest quarters. Both sets of quarters are larger than standard officers' quarters, and generally have the following accommodations: a bedroom with double bed, living/working area, bathroom with ultrasonic and standard water shower, food replicator, personal holographic viewer, and provisions for pets.

VIPs and diplomatic guests

Located on Decks 2 and 6

The Vesta-class is a symbol of Starfleet's commitment to exploration and modernization. As a multi-mission explorer, the USS Excalibur-A is often called upon to represent the United Federation of Planets in its dealings with other races, for which there are extensive diplomatic facilities on Deck 6. A smaller number of VIP, diplomatic, and guest quarters are located in the forward sectors of Deck 2. Quarters typically include a large bedroom, spacious living/working area, personal viewscreen, ultrasonic shower, bathtub and water shower, provisions for pets, food replicator, and null-grav sleeping chamber. These quarters can be immediately converted to class H, K, L, N, and N2 environments.

Civilians and families

Located on Deck 8

Although Starfleet personnel fulfill the vast majority of ship functions, the diverse mission profile of the USS Excalibur-A may occasionally require the skills and talents of civilians. In addition, although having families aboard is not encouraged due to the extended periods in deep space and potential for danger, the Commanding Officer may, at their discretion, waive this restriction. Both of these needs are met by a small number of special, highly configurable quarters in the forward sectors of Deck 8. Depending on need, these quarters can range from single-room dwellings to larger, apartment-style homes with multiple bedrooms.

Marines

Located on Deck 19

The living and working facilities for Excalibur's marine contingent are located primarily on Deck 19. The living quarters for marines are comparable to those allocated to their naval counterparts of equivalent personnel classification.
