:Do whatever you think will fix it up. Not being there (part of the sims) makes it really hard to know what was going on. And every group did them slightly different, with varying degrees of detail, etc. I wish it was easier to have some kind of "template" (not like a wiki template, but a guidline) to have them more similarly written. Some groups have nothing, and I don't even know if their ygroups still exist to research them, read them over, and write one myself. Wikipedia Content
Please don't forget to use the {{WikipediaContent}} template when using information from Wikipedia, such as here. Thanks! --FltAdml. Wolf 01:29, 18 Jul 2005 (CDT)
Character Page vs. User Page.
See: Creation and Upkeep of a Character Page. --Wolf 20:00, 7 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Already seen that... will do soon.
Thanks for that update to the Conny page... I'm still trying to figure out the best ways to do things... and after seeing you change it, I realized how simple that change would have been. Appreciate it. --Lt Pietro Maximoff 16:01, 10 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Citing Sources
Please be sure to cite sources properly. The two templates to use, are:
- {{WikipediaContent}}
- {{MAContent}} --Wolf 14:45, 13 Aug 2005 (CDT)
- I'm only mentioning it b/c you've been the one tagging a lot of articles with "See Also:" Wikipedia/Memory-Alpha. So, instead of doing that, just use the templates. :)
- Also, don't forget to use your sig on talk page... --Wolf 14:49, 13 Aug 2005 (CDT)
- Hehe... I did notice you were quick on the punch ;) --Wolf 14:52, 13 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Ship Classes
Take a look at Excelsior Class. What do you think? --Lt Pietro Maximoff 16:25, 13 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Some of the additions did seem a bit rudimentary, though. If they had a particularly interesting effect on the ST Universe, such as Tom Riker's creation, I thought it was important enough to keep. --Lt Pietro Maximoff 16:36, 13 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Yup - going through and being a bit more editorial about it now.--Lt Pietro Maximoff 16:39, 13 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Unnecessary Pages

Wallace pic
That's fine. Just make sure it's the same size, and that you follow the template of Image:Nav-wallace.jpg -- include a credit, add it to the proper category, make sure it's the right size. --Wolf 15:42, 10 February 2006 (CST)
- Looks fine. --Wolf 11:33, 11 February 2006 (CST)
Wallace-motto
Just an FYI, the small icons of the ships have been specially formatted to go on any background. They are transparent .gifs, and the white border is supposed to help make them "pop" when on a colored background. Just so you know, you don't have to have it on a white background -- actually looks best on anything but a white background ;) --Wolf 01:28, 14 February 2006 (CST)
"Salak" deletion
It's best to copy the entire contents out of the Salak subpage and just edit the main Salak page with those contents. Deletion and re-creation is messy and unnecessary. --Wolf 00:33, 14 March 2006 (CST)
Crew Historys
Takes a lot of work, doesn't it!? I've been trying to go through the old Paladin logs for crew history (which I think I kept up to date while ON Paladin) and for mission summary stuff. Geez it takes a long time. Well, good luck! Varaan 07:47, 21 April 2006 (CDT)
Steadfast
I figured, since I'm now assigned to the Steadfast, that I'd take care of all the stuff for it. You seem to have your hands full where you are. ;) Varaan 07:43, 26 April 2006 (CDT)
- Ya, well, leave some for the rest of us, okay? Between you and Toni, there isn't a heck of a lot of other action around here, but some of us do like to putter around, you know. :) Varaan 07:47, 26 April 2006 (CDT)
- Re the motto - I just copied and pasted it right off the Sb118 website (http://www.starbase118.net/members/fleet/inactive/steadfast.php)
but I don't know if this is correct or not. Guess we'll wait until Hutton comes back to finalize it. Varaan 11:11, 26 April 2006 (CDT)
Redirects to MA
As far as I know, there's no way to fix that. We are aware of the issue. Just go ahead and click on the link :) --Wolf /talk page 18:11, 8 July 2006 (CDT)
Crew Histories
The Paladin one is a work in progress, and will be for a long while. I'm the only one working on it ('cos virtually the rest of the crew is gone from UFoP). And with so many other things on my plate (both IC and OOC), it's taken a back seat for the time being. -Varaan 09:24, 10 August 2006 (CDT)
sysop
You've been upgraded to a sysop. Don't let the power go to your head ;) --Wolf /talk page 18:08, 1 November 2006 (CST)
Server time
I think it's affected by what you set in your preferences, isn't it? Mine shows correct for my time zone. --Wolf /talk page 20:10, 3 November 2006 (CST)
runabout vs. Danube class
Thanks, Salak. I knew I had done stuff previously and couldn't figure out why I didn't have it. It really SHOULD be danube class, since it has a class designation (like all the other types of starships) but I had put it as a sub-category of shuttlecraft. I think I'll rearrange it, though, so that they ARE danube class, and still make it a sub-cat of shuttlecraft. -Varaan 07:31, 9 November 2006 (CST)
- I think I'm going to leave it as a subcategory (also is its own category...I love wiki categories, you can loop like nobody's business!) simply because a lot of people think of it as a shuttle-type vessel because of its size, and the fact that you can store it in the shuttlebay of larger ships. I even think that I heard somewhere that it was once classed as a "warp shuttle". But it deserves to be its own class type, I think, because of its sheer versatility. -Varaan 07:02, 10 November 2006 (CST)
Cody Category
Hadn't noticed that shortcut, 'cos I'm not big on templates. That can be your area of expertise, 'kay? ;) -Varaan 07:24, 10 November 2006 (CST)
Ship Histories
I found it from Wolf's sims in the one of the ship yahoogroups (I think it was the Nemesis) pertaining to the Colony. Occasionally you can pull ship histories from the sims themselves. ;-)
I found the Solstice from an old website that was still up. DCody 02:06, 12 November 2006 (CST)
USS Solstice
I don't recall it at all, but then again it might have been a work in progress that never panned out. If it even remotely existed in the fleet, we should have something up. I'd check with Wolf (since he needs to be aware of all that potential stuff before it actually becomes a ship) before you delete anything. But I don't think it was ever really active, no. -Varaan 14:58, 13 November 2006 (CST)
Maria, Cara
Um...that IS her character page, and the categories are NOT listed there. Did you perhaps mean that they are listed on her User page (which they should not be)? -Varaan 15:23, 25 November 2006 (CST)
- Forget it...I know what you mean now. And actually, the categories should be on the character pages, not the character category pages. The character category pages are sub-categories of the Character Category, while the character page should be an article in the Character Category. The character category pages that you and Cara have should just have your "Salak" and "Cara Maria" sub-categories, while the "character" "Starfleet personnel" etc are listed on the main character page. (keeps things consistent). Remember, I'm the "categories guy", right? ;) -Varaan 15:28, 25 November 2006 (CST)
- You know what? As long as I know what I'm talking about, I guess that's okay. I'd try to explain it to you, but you'd propably get confused again. So let's try this. I'll fix it the way I think it should be (on yours only), and you try to guess what I meant, 'kay? :) -Varaan 17:48, 28 November 2006 (CST)
- I'm sorry. I never meant to confuse you. ;) -Varaan 17:55, 28 November 2006 (CST)

Indy Personnel Page
Salek, is there a reason LtCmdr Kael Thomas is on the Indy roster? DCody 05:22, 28 November 2006 (CST)

Helping Me Out
Cheers for giving me a hand on the Ronin pages, just trying to get some content up there as best as possible. Thanks for having my back on it. I'll start trying to get some info on the sub-pages of the deck layout, see what I can come up with.

Pip Credits
I found most of the pips here and I'm trying to figure out how to site that and or contact whoever made those but I haven't found a way to contact them yet. Plus I'm new to this whole wiki thing. Do I site it somehow on each picture? Or on one of the pages I used them on? I re-made a few of them too, so I'm not sure exactly what to do. Jackford B. Kolk 11:25, 16 April 2007 (CDT)
Ronin Crew History, etc.
I don't remember changing Parker to CMO, but if I did, I appologize. Also, how exactly does one use the sandbox? -Jackford B. Kolk 11:01, 21 April 2007 (CDT)
WIKI ethos
Cmdr Varaan & Lt.JG. Salak,
I’ve recently encountered one or two incidents amongst players in the fleet who feel their wiki page has been wrongly edited by someone who did not have their permission.
There seems, therefore, to be a little confusion as to the ethos of the SB118 wiki, particularly in terms of it being a collaborative project which any member of the UFoP community can use and contribute to.
I wondered if perhaps the two of you as wiki moderators might be willing to get your heads together and draft an OOC that might be sent out to all the Fleet’s Captains (or indeed to everyone in the fleet) educating (or reminding) them of the exact ethos behind the wiki. Particular emphasis presumably being on collaboration and working together/ everyone having a go. Perhaps if you have guidelines on any unusual instances when one should ask permission of a user to make an edit or perhaps any observations on etiquette?
I think this would be valuable to the fleets players and indeed perhaps we could have it edited and made into one of the “sim tutorials” such as those we already have on the main SB-118 site.
Hoping you can help,
Capt. Rocar.
- I don't have interet access at home, and being a supply teacher, access from "work" is sporadic at best. Don't have IM or AIM or MSN or any of that stuff (and , honestly, don't want any of it, either). The best thing to do, I think, would be to work on something here, or possibly email (but then again, there's my access problem), and just go back and forth. -Varaan 09:30, 23 April 2007 (CDT)
Sincere Appologies
Sorry. I didn't know. I'll stop messing with other ships' rosters. Please extend my appologies to any who've complained to you about me. -Jackford B. Kolk 09:36, 1 May 2007 (CDT)

lol, I knew about the difference in spelling, and as much as I wish I were British I prefer the American spelling myself. Thank you though, much appreciated :) Erm 11:36, 6 May 2007 (CDT)

I've already written something to him, previously about this kind of stuff. See his talk page. -Varaan 08:58, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
Ronin Pics
Yeah, Idril asked for them on the ship's page, and yes there's got to be a better looking way to display them, but I'm kind of waiting for more pictures before spending time figuring out what that better way is. If you have any ideas, I'm all ears. -Jackford B. Kolk 19:08, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
