Nijil was born on Rekar III, in the town of D’da Vallia. Which was a heavily wooded town know for it’s extravagant grained trees when cut down. Their main trade was their wood which had a high price when sold. Yearly, D’da Vallia would have almost lumberjack styled competitions with neighboring towns, as they all were wooded towns.

Their main trade was their wood which had a high price when sold. Yearly, D’da Vallia would have almost lumberjack styled competitions with neighboring towns, as they all were wooded towns.

D’Amarak and S’harien Had Nijil first, a bright boy, who never talked much. Instead, when he would go off for long periods of time, they would find him in town square or just outside the work zones watching. It was early on that he found he enjoyed the pastime of doddling. Which became somewhat of a distraction in school.
D'Amarak and S'Harien had Nijil first. A bright if not quite boy, right from the get go. His parents would tell him later on that he never cried but always watched the things around him. Something that carried over into his adult years. At an early age, it was evident he was socially different than the rest. Preferring to watch rather than join, listen rather than speak and share.

Nijil spent his early years accompanying his father aboard warships when they were stationed at home base. It had been on such ships that allured Nijil to medicine. He would spend most of his time in the Sickbays, speaking with members of the field. Such miracles they had been able to perform brought curiosity to the young Rekarian boy.
His only, seemingly interesting, attribute in his youth was his artistic skills. No great artist but well appreciated. He found it easy to get lost in his doodles, something that got him into trouble at school from time to time. His favorite thing to draw were the people he watched. Something believed to help him understand anatomy before he was a doctor.

When Nijil was 14 his first sister, Nalah, was born. At age 16, S'Tarleya, was born. and finally at 17, D’mora was born. Since the moment each girl was born, Nijil had felt the need to protect his younger sisters. It might have been that he was so much older than the girls, or simply the fact that they were family.
Nijil spent a great deal of time on the war ships his father piloted. Visiting the men and women who fought and sailed through the stars. It was then, being up above his planet, that his interest in off worldly things took off as did his interest in medicine. Left to his own devices on most trips, he found himself preferring the company of the gruff, morbid medical officers who were the glue to the ship. They were the ones who had to keep everyone else alive to keep the ship going. Long chats with these people brought out a more macabre sense of self in Nijil, pulling him further away from the norm. Pulling him away from what his parents wanted him to do in life.

When he was 18 his father was killed in action defending their border in the petty skirmish. Which left Nijil to grow up and become the man of the house, so to speak. Which wasn’t as easy as it sounds, not with four, hot headed, determined, and strong willed women. His mother leading the pack. And regardless of the girls being very young.

And it wasn't until his father was killed in a petty skirmish that he took any real notice of the younger girls. Which left Nijil to grow up and become the man of the house, so to speak. Which wasn’t as easy as it sounds, not with four, hot headed, determined, and strong willed women. His mother leading the pack. And regardless of the girls being very young.

Growing up in a house full of girls taught Nijil many things about the opposite gender. He learned very quickly how to clean and cook. And even how to style hair and make minor adjustments to clothing. He refused to learn to knit and sew though. But his mother would always say, any man who can take care of themselves will be able to take care of others better.

Nijil had planned on attending one of their higher graded medical schools, but instead would stay close to home. Raising three little girls was to much for just one person. And he didn’t really mind. Spending what free time he could at the local mom and pop hospital. He started work there as a glorified pencil holder. But would later become a glorified assistant… He handed the doctor their tools.

The circumstances that arised in his life would make him seem odd to those of his age group. Though active in sports, he was always the odd man out. But it never bothered him. Nijil does believe that the reason he is harsher towards adult vs children is because of his own sisters. Who on many occasion he had to tend to.

When his sisters became old enough to take of themselves, he would finally make the decision to go back to medical school. But rather than complete his school on Rekar III, he made the choice to join Starfleet. Four years later he graduated with flying colors.

Just as many children do, there are little things that their parents hand off to their children that isn’t exactly genetics. In Nijil’s case, his stubbornness from his mother and a strange morbid sense of humor from his father.
