Captain Marcelo Libório was the human commanding officer of the USS Yamaguchi.
Born in 2324 and a native of Fortaleza, Brazil, Libório was a seasoned Starfleet officer and a veteran of the Cardassian border wars. Libório's wife Mariana was killed during a Cardassian raid on a Federation outpost in the early 2360s, leaving Libório to raise their young daughter Andressa alone aboard the Yamaguchi.
He was killed along with the rest of his crew when the Yamaguchi was destroyed at the Battle of Wolf 359 in 2367.
