A G-Type star located in Sector 001, Sol is located between 25,000 and 28,000 light years away from the Super-Massive Black Hole Sagittarius A* located at the heart of the Milky Way galaxy.
The Sol System contains several key locations to the Federation. The organizations headquarters and Starfleet Acadamy are both based on Earth, the 3rd planet in the system, whilst there are colonies on both the Moon (Luna) and the 4th planet, Mars.
