Hey, I'm Kyle! My Primary Character is Torvi Ylvor a Joined Trill assigned as a Security and Tactical Officer, on Amity Outpost

I am from Perth, Western Australia and have lived here all my life. It isn’t the worst thing living in the world’s most isolated city, but shipping costs are annoying.

I have a son, William, who was born in 2022 and is sort of named after a certain first officer, who’s dad is also named Kyle!

I am a hardcore Trekkie, I watched Star Trek: TNG at an early age on recorded VHS tapes, it has to be my favourite because of this.

I do enjoy ‘most’ of Trek. I would have a very extensive list of properties of I enjoy, but here is a small list:

I joined SB118 as I needed to get back into simming for a creative outlet, watching Picard season 3 has reinvigorated my desire to write in the Star Trek universe again. Being out of the simming game for a number of years I wanted to join something that had an established history and wasn’t going to go anywhere, which led me to SB118. I have been involved in some form or another on and off for around 20 years with various groups, including Sigma Division, Epsilon Force, Pegasus Fleet and various independent sims. Besides Trek, I have written stories or played characters for Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Halo, and Star Wars, but Trek has to be my favourite to write for.

I enjoy Graphic Design and have half a degree in it (left due to personal reasons), otherwise I am self taught, and hope to join the Image Collective here within SB118. I enjoy photography, mainly Aviation, Models, Miniatures, and Military. I am a large proponent for the inclusion of the Starfleet Marine Corps organisation within expanded Trek lore and have a set of my own lore outlined. I have also a great interest in Starfleet Uniforms and hope to catalogue each and every variant at some stage, a laborious task. My favourite uniforms are the Monster Maroons from the Trek Movie era and the Grey shouldered designs from DS9. I also enjoy coming up with ideas within Trek, new starship designs, technology, and concepts and I have more ideas than I have time to design for.

Lieutenant JG Torvi Ylvor is a Joined Trill, currently serving as a Security and Tactical officer aboard Amity Outpost. After applying to the Academy as a Flight Control pilot, an emergency on her training cruise resulted in her abrupt joining with the Ylvor symbiote. Changing majors due to immense changes in her self, she took up the Security and Tactical path.

Torvi's initial post after the Academy was the USS Gorkon, however transferred to Amity Outpost in the Delta Quadrant.
