Krysaros is the ancient hero of the Betazed, as stated to be either Karawati's brother or husband. More are to be inclined to believe him to be her brother. He saved Karawati from certain invasion from a looming, malevolent telepathic force. Karawati's son Rixx inherited the tools that saved his mother.
Most Betazoids believe in the Four Deities and no longer worship Krysaros, although he remains an important figure in Betazoid mythology. The Mystics of Khrysaros are a secret society still devoted to the teachings of Khrysaros.
