Crewman First Class Alandra Deveraux previously worked as the only engineer on a pirate ship known as Morgan's Bounty. After growing increasingly dissatisfied with life as a pirate, she used a run in with Captain Mar as an opportunity to escape that life and seek asylum aboard the USS Ronin. In a twist of fortune, it turned out that her nephew, Martin Devereaux, was serving as a Tactical Officer in the very same ship. When the crew of the Ronin took an extended shoreleave on Earth, Alandra took the oportunity to enlist in Starfleet. She is now an engineer aboard the USS Independence-A.
