Well it almost fits well into the unexplored/unowned area between Tholian, Gorn and Klingon space. I could even mark the region on the map or deep space 17. the only problem seems to be the Tzenkethi mention. I suppose we could draw them in here if people want...though they would be a long way from home?  Have they actually been mentioned there in a sim?

Don't remember a mention on the Wallace, don't know about the others... Also, Khitomer is spelt wrong on the map - [[User:Salak|Jay]] 18:34, 23 Aug 2005 (CDT)

This map is non-canon in origin orginating from the very excellent work of [http://www.stdimension.org/int/Cartography/cartography.htm Star Trek Dimension]. Tholian's are without doubt Alpha Quadrant species ([http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Tholian +]) yet this map shows the Tholians to be more native to the Beta Quadrant. While you could say that both Romulan and Klingons are sometimes referenced as Alpha Quadrant powers due to their empires spilling over into the Quadrant and that this same rationale could be applied to the Tholians; other references (Star Trek Star Charts: The Complete Atlas of Star Trek) show the Tholian Empire to be clearly in the Alpha Quadrant just below the Cardassian Empire (see [http://www.ucip.org/science/newmaps/alpha.jpg here]).
The only reason I mention this is because in other areas of the site parts of the maps contained in Star Trek Star Charts are used (i.e.[[Trinity Sector]])
Are we to use maps created by Star Trek Dimension for the purposes of the UFOP simming group or should we revise this map and base it off something like what we see in the Star Trek Star Charts book? Just wondering how the map of the Ithassa region fits in with this? - Jay 15:52, 23 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Tholian Positioning

This map is non-canon in origin orginating from the very excellent work of Star Trek Dimension. Tholian's are without doubt Alpha Quadrant species (+) yet this map shows the Tholians to be more native to the Beta Quadrant. While you could say that both Romulan and Klingons are sometimes referenced as Alpha Quadrant powers due to their empires spilling over into the Quadrant and that this same rationale could be applied to the Tholians; other references (Star Trek Star Charts: The Complete Atlas of Star Trek) show the Tholian Empire to be clearly in the Alpha Quadrant just below the Cardassian Empire (see here).

The only reason I mention this is because in other areas of the site parts of the maps contained in Star Trek Star Charts are used (i.e.Trinity Sector)

Are we to use maps created by Star Trek Dimension for the purposes of the UFOP simming group or should we revise this map and base it off something like what we see in the Star Trek Star Charts book? In other words what has priority here for us as writers? - "Koloth | Talk" 10:19, 21 January 2009 (GMT+8)
