** Comment: Are all motto boxes gray now? Seems like they clash. If we're going to go with gray, why not coordinate the color with the purple of the fleet box/nav panels? --Wolf /talk page 01:46, 8 April 2008 (EDT) | |||

A featured article exemplifies our very best work and features high standards of writing and presentation. It should have the following attributes:
- It is well-written, comprehensive, accurate and stable.
- It has images and other media where they are appropriate to the subject, with succinct captions.
- It includes links to other articles where appropriate.
- It is of appropriate length, staying focused on the main topic without going into unnecessary detail.
Featured Article Candidates
- Before posting a nomination here, please tag the candidate page with FAC
- Please place each candidate article title as a linked level 3 header (like ===this===) below this italicised instruction text. The newest candidate is to be placed nearest the top. Please add Support, Oppose or Comment in bold in front of your first constructive comment in reply to an article name and stamp each comment with 4 tildes ~~~~. If you wish to switch your opinion, strikethrough your previous stance (by surrounding with <s> and </s>
like this) and post your new stance before your comment.
Karawati
- Support as nominator: I wrote this some years back after being inspired by T'Lara and Daydan Taboo. Writing a Betazoid character, I was always curious about their culture and possible religions. Having worked very hard on this article, I am pleased on its turn out. It is detailed, to the point and leaves room for interpretation. - Alana 22:00, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
- Support as per User:Alana. Could possibly do with a second pic further down, but well written. - Lt. SalakTalk 22:03, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
- Comment: Added another pic that I felt was relevant. Thanks! Alana 22:13, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
Independence-A Crew History
- Support as nominator: Believed to be a comprehensive list of every PC to have served on the most recent Independence. Stays on topic, links to pages for every PC, includes a list of every promotion ceremony. Not sure where this can be improved at present. - Lt. SalakTalk 21:47, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
StarBase 118
- Support as Nominator: Well, I wrote it! Personally, I think it has a very nice layout, and the links are all useful and well formatted :D Also has a couple nice pics, which never hurts! --Wolf /talk page 20:56, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
- Support: Certainly a better page than the Ops one. Static as it's relatively unchanged in about 2 years. Includes links, fair length, stays on topic. Might be able to split a bit off onto a sub page perhaps, but struggling to see where it can be improved at the moment. Plus as the namesake of the group, would be a fitting AotM :) - Lt. SalakTalk 21:08, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
USS Ursa Major
- Support as nominator: Quite frankly, the best length of any currently active ship page, best layout, nice and tidy. Stereotypical example. Nothing spectacular, just the relevent details and a few pretty pics. As for static, well my adding the FAC template was the first edit to the page in a year and a half. - Lt. SalakTalk 20:42, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
- Oppose: Needs a better picture (that banner is meant to go on the main page of the site, not on a white-background, like here), and the motto box needs to be color-coded better. --Wolf /talk page 20:52, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
USS Independence
- Support as Nominator: About the perfect length in my view for a ship page. Acts as a portal for the pages relating to the ship, as linked from the menu on the right. Has all the relevent menus for a PC ship; the usual nav on the right, motto at the top, boiler at the bottom and pic on the left. Static given it's been decommissioned. Don't like the red link in the nav but otherwise a nice example. - Lt. SalakTalk 20:36, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
Salak
- Support as Nominator: Cited as an example on Creation and Upkeep of a Character Page. Been kept up to date whilst I've been actively simming. Nav bar top right has been used as a framework by several in recent times, and includes a selection of formatted sims linked from bottom. Fairly stable, changing only when new details are available, a new link is added or a promotion requires changing of position information. Plenty of links with sections on family members, etc... split off to keep article on topic and to shorten length. - Lt. SalakTalk 20:08, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
- Support: There are some spacing issues in the "professional history/working areas" section, and the link to the Sarpedion graphic needs to either be removed or filled, but otherwise very nice. --Wolf /talk page 20:54, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
