Cutter

The CCMS uses former Starfleet light cruisers such as the Malachowski class in its patrol fleet

A cutter is the term used by the Colonial Coalition Marshals Service for the vessels used in its operations. Cutters are identified with the prefix CMC for Coalition Marshals Cutter. Most cutters are former Starfleet light cruisers, although the CCMS also employs the use of a few specially-built starships as well.
