Personal History

Anson Robertson was the eldest of three children born to Mike and Kimberly Robertson. Anson's father was a Chief Petty Officer in Starfleet, and his mother was a homemaker. Anson and his siblings grew up in New York, on Earth, and each went on to prestigious careers. Anson graduated from a post-secondary institution near the top of his class in the field of science. He was immediately offered a job working for the Daystrom Institute, where he remained for almost three decades. When the Vulcan Science Academy approached him about a teaching position, he gladly accepted. It was at this point that he and his wife became separated, for she did not want to leave her career and Anson was not about to turn down an opportunity like this. A year later they were officially divorced.

After ten years on Vulcan, Anson was anxious to get back out into the field again. So he petitioned the Federation Science Council for a grant and permission to study the charted but unexplored Galor system. He was assigned a team and given the grant, and remained in the Galor system for the next seven years. That is when tragedy struck. A cave-in on Galor IV killed nine of the twelve scientists in Anson's team. Anson was severely wounded. And although it was absolutly in no way his fault, he blamed himself anyway for not being more thorough in his preparations. His leg suffered nerve damage and was paralysed, an injury easily treated in the 24th century. But Anson would have no part of it. He demanded they leave the leg as it was, as a constant reminder to him of what had happened.

Six months later the study was completed and, apart from the loss of life, was deemed a scientific success. Anson was revered in the science community, and given permission by the Science Council to choose his own personnel and missions from then on. Anson has been carefully hand picking the core members of his team ever since. His latest acquisition was Sulia Imari about three years ago.

When Dr. Robertson heard about the new Embassy on Duronis II, he immediately volunteered his team to represent the Federation's science community in this historic venture. After studying the Laudeans and the ancient past of Duronis II for 8 years, he brought his team to the Par'tha Expanse in 2390, to work closely with Dr. Sa'has Rathmin on Deep Space 26 and throughout the Expanse.
