Personal History
Arissa grew up with a fairly normal family life in Bozeman, Montana. Once a month, her family would take a mountain climbing/camping excursion in the Beartooth Mountains.
When she was younger she and her little sister would lie out a blanket on the lawn and look up at the stars, memorizing each constellation. Since her interest was mainly in the stars, her mother suggested she join Star Fleet when she was in Junior High School and it stuck with her as a dream until she graduated High School and finally joined Star Fleet Academy.
Growing up in a home where her father, and eventually older brother, was a doctor she was also interested in pursuing a medical degree in therapy. So, after graduating Star Fleet Academy, she enrolled in the Star Fleet Medical Academy. She graduated from the Medical Academy with a Ph.D..
