Elegant, brisk, contemplative and secretive, Tahlin is a product of his upbringing among the elite of the Cardassian Union during its years of rebuilding after the devastation of the Dominion War. A dual citizen of the Federation and the Cardassian Union, Tahlin never the less had little room for advancement on Cardassia Prime and joined Starfleet on the encouragement of his tutors at the Central University.
