I appreciate your work on the engineering page, but 90% of that really doesn't belong on the Wiki. Keep in mind that the purpose of the wiki is to be comprehensive, but not redundant. All of that information is readily available on the Engineering Duty Post area. So we want to use the wiki for things that people can collaborate on. Now, you could keep the list of notable engineers there, and perhaps create some articles to "start out" the work on those, so that everyone can contribute to those articles. Okay, that's cool... I think I misunderstood when I had read through the mission of the wiki, so I simply copied and pasted from the main site. I'll go back and change a few things in a bit.

Starfleet Starship Classes

If you are going to work on these (I'm guessing you might as you uploaded a Excelsior Class side view picture), please can you ensure that each class has [[Category:Starfleet Ship Classes]] at the bottom of the page.

If I've put any text in place already, please do not just wipe it with your own, but add to it. See New Orleans Class for a possible format, with general content about the ship followed by a list of ships of the class being discussed that occur within our fleet and then a list of other links for further research.

Excelsior Class article

I'm not sure we need an analysis of each ship of the class...

Read through the article and take out any repeated links, they look untidy. I'd do it myself, but it's 10:30pm here, and i'm getting a bit tired.

I can understand that... if the ship was lost at 359 or something, then make a SMALL note about it. We don't however need to know if Janeway was a science officer on board, or if it docked at DS9 in 2373, etc... - Jay 16:38, 13 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Good. By the way, I think that if we did a history of Enterprises, it would be one page rather than many, as it is for previous ships to bear the name of vessels in our fleet. Ship pages also begin "USS" without any dots. Just some small niggles... - Jay 16:42, 13 Aug 2005 (CDT)
