Backstory/Timeline

Alexandra was born in France on stardate 236603.19 to proud parents Collin and Jemma Black. From a very young age, Alexandra used her empathy to manipulate those around her into doing what she wanted. She was her mother's favorite and often got away with misdeeds by blaming it on her brother. Despite this tendency to cause trouble, she and her brother were actually very close and he would often stick up for her when she was being bullied.

This closeness with her brother got her through many troubled times at home. Jemma quickly grew bored with the staid and routine lifestyle of married life. When Alexandra was five, her father caught her mother in the midst of an affair with another man. Following a bitter divorce, Jemma left the children with Collin and ran off with her lover. Alexandra didn't see her again until her high school graduation.

Alexandra spent most of high school knowing that she wanted to attend the Academy and join Starfleet. It was only prior to her first year at the Academy that she reconciled with her mother.
