Ta’ev was born and raised on Rekar III, his father served aboard one of the many Rekarian / Romulan star ships as the Chief Medical officer and his mother was a teacher. Ta’ev was a free spirit and what some called very rambunctious youth. Always one to explore he loved adventure and was usually the ring leader with his friends. After the Romulans signed a peace treaty with the Federation after the Yolanda Wars in 2374 Ta’ev became fascinated with the Federation and Starfleet much to his Fathers dismay.
Keeping his fascination a secret for many of his family and friends Ta’ev studied anything about the Federation and Starfleet he could get his hands on, as long as it was not Romulan propaganda. His mother struggled to keep Ta’ev out of trouble over the next few years as his father was called away and fought in the Dominion war. Despite the trouble and his father’s absence Ta’ev grew into a smart funny and happy young man, who found a passion for helping others and taking a page from his father’s handbook studied medicine as well as combat tactics and focused on these fields in his early education. The Romulan/ Rekarian education system allowed children to develop and grown in their own way which allowed Ta’ev some freedom.

Tragedy would strike the family when his father was killed during the Reman Uprising in 2379 and Ta’ev would feel the need to step up as the man of the family at 12 years old.Using this as his driving force Ta’ev focused on his studies moving his Major focus to combat and tactic with his Medical training taking a back seat.. Shortly after his 15th birthday his mother gathered his sister and Ta’ev and told them she was going to remarry. Not happy about the decision and deciding he no longer felt like he belonged, Ta’ev gathered a few belongs and the credits he had saved and stowed away on a freighter leaving for federation space. Spending the next few years working freighters Ta’ev heard of the Hobus Supernova, and using the contacts he had developed was able to confirm his family’s safety and safe being.

On his 17th Birthday Ta’ev decided to make the leap and joined the Starfleet marines as an NCO going through Basic training he was commissioned as a Marine Medic and spent the next year serving with the 501st Bravo Company. Deciding he needed the next step he Joined Starfleet Academy to become a commissioned Officer. After Graduating and because of his skills he was temporarily assigned to the Intelligence Division, but after only a few months he received communication from his mother.
Leaving Starfleet he journeyed home to find that his step father had become a champion for change urging the Romulans and Rekarians into joining Starfleet. A militant group of Romulans had Kidnapped Ta’ev’s Family and had already killed his Step-Father by the time he had arrived. Thankfully Ta’ev was able to secure the rescue of his remaining family and brought them back with him to Federation space. Ta’ev had been injured in the rescue and while settling his family down on Earth has spent the time recoviering. Now he has been commissioned as a 2nd Lt. and Assigned to the USS Apollo-A’s growing Marine Contingent.
