Captain Xan Hebron was given this brand new ship in 2378. In 2379, the command was taken by Commander Jessa Anassasi in a temporary capacity, as it was attached to StarBase 118 as a field ship. Later that year, the ship was docked at StarBase 118 to undergo a minor overhaul and await the next mission assignment, while Anassasi took command of the USS Tiger.
