==History== | |||
In 2370, the war between the Kellerun and their neigboring enemies, the T'Lani, had just ended. The war had been marked by the use of a deadly chemical, known as the Harvester weapon. Both sides were determined to keep the hard fought peace they now enjoyed and decided to remove all records of the virus. This meant killing the scientists who designed it and two Starfleet officers, Chief [[ma:Miles O'Brien|Miles O'Brien]] and Doctor [[ma:Julian Bashir|Julian Bashir]], from Deep Space 9, who had been sent to help to destroy the last vials of the virus. Fortunately, the two were rescued by the crew of Deep Space 9 before the T'Lani and the Kellerun could kill them. (DS9: "Armageddon Game")

A star with at least three planets - T'Lani Prime, T'Lani II and T'Lani III - at most an hour from Deep Space Nine in a runabout and within simultaneous subspace communication range. Its third world was decimated by war; another is home to the native space-faring T'Lani race.
==Culture== | |||
The T'Lani culture is much like that of other members of the Federation of Planets, with Military forces. a highly skill scientific community, and warp drive techonolgy.
==Customs== | |||
None stated. | |||
==Technology== | |||
General name for a T'Lani ship at T'Lani III which hosted the team working to destroy the Harvester genetic weapons, captained at the time by a T'Lani named Jakin. It was equipped with transporters, internal security sensors, regular sensors and subspace radio, and the ability to project a broad-band inversion field. The cruiser is capable of more speed and armament than a Runabout; its shields are only slightly damaged by a Runabout's phaser barrage.
A T'Lani cruiser was a type of starship utilized by the T'Lani during the late 24th century. This class of vessel greatly outmatched Starfleet's Danube class runabout in firepower and defenses.
One cruiser was used to store and to perform experiments on destroying the Harvester weapon in 2370. (DS9: "Armageddon Game")
While consistently referred to in the script as a "T'Lani munitions cruiser," this vessel was only identified as a "T'Lani cruiser" in the episode's dialog.
==Economy== | |||
As space-faring people they rely on trade to purchase goods. Several cargo containers with the symbol of the T'Lani were kept in storage in Deep Space 9's cargo bays. (DS9: "Profit and Loss")
==Military== | |||
Humanoid people who were at war with the Kellerun for centuries until finally reaching peace in 2370. The T'Lani suffered great losses during the war, including the entire population of planet T'Lani III, from the deadly harvester. A T'Lani soldier accompanied E'Tyshra and Sharat to the surface of T'Lani III to execute Bashir and O'Brien. (DS9: "Armageddon Game")

==History== | |||
On stardate 5143.3 (2269), a Vendorian disguised as the interstellar trader and philanthropist Carter Winston justified this distrust — and a Federation quarantine against Vendor — by assisting the Romulans in a failed attempt to capture the U.S.S. Enterprise. Because of the feelings for Winston's fiancée he "inherited? from the original Winston, the Vendorian switched sides at the last moment, undoing the Romulan plot.

==Description== | |||
A race of sentient shape-shifters native to the planet Vendor. In their natural form, Vendorians look rather like floating orange lamps adorned with six trailing tentacles. Because of their ability to rearrange their molecular structures at will, thus taking on the shapes of various humanoid species, Federation authorities look upon them with suspicion.
==Physiology== | |||
The Vendorian species known for being deceitful.
==Psychology== | |||
As several Romulan ships appear and surround the Enterprise, it becomes clear that the Romulans sent the creature to lure the starship into the Neutral Zone in order to provoke a conflict with the Federation.
