The ''Independence's'' Briefing Room is the meeting place for conferences and briefings alike. This is the main area for the Senior Officers to contribute their thoughts and opinions on the current mission. | |||
It is also used for negotiations and diplomatic conferences with alien ambassadors. | |||
Meetings in the Briefing room are required to be chaired by an acting official; the Captain or the vessel or the current Commanding Officer. When that is not possible, the current First Officer or Second Officer are an adequate replacement, but extensive logs must be created. | |||
