Lawn's achievements are substantial. While in the Earth Security Forces Academy, he was president of his class. As a policeman, he was a highly decorated officer. He was also the youngest officer ever to be promoted to investigator. He was involved in numerous top secret assignments, and given the most advanced tactical training. In fact, this was his first introduction to Starfleet. He trained alongside Starfleet Marines and command staff at Starfleet headquarters on Earth. His extensive martial arts background and actual physical combat experience helped him excell.
