-R.J. grew up on a family ranch in Arizona.  He attended StarFleet Academy out of bordom.  He was excited when we was acceptaed.  He was a ladies man and played the game, one woman...not for him, during his Academy days he and his cousin spent evenings chasing the ladies, and brushing up on their studies, after graduation they went their separate ways.
