This map is non-canon in origin orginating from the very excellent work of [http://www.stdimension.org/int/Cartography/cartography.htm Star Trek Dimension]. Tholian's are without doubt Alpha Quadrant species ([http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Tholian +]) yet this map shows the Tholians to be more native to the Beta Quadrant. While you could say that both Romulan and Klingons are sometimes referenced as Alpha Quadrant species due to their empires spilling over into the Quadrant other, more canon, references (Star Trek Star Charts: The Complete Atlas of Star Trek) show the Tholian Empire to be in the Alpha Quadrant just below the Cardassian Empire (see [http://www.ucip.org/science/newmaps/alpha.jpg here]). | |||
