*The ''USS Galaxy'' itself was the prototype for the [[ma:Galaxy_class|Galaxy-class]] starship design. Despite being in service for dozens of years, she's distinguished herself in many ways, including taking part in the [[ma:First Battle of Chin'toka|First Battle of Chin'toka]] and the [[ma:Battle of Cardassia|Battle of Cardassia]] in the [[ma:Dominion War|Dominion War]]. In 2379, the ''Galaxy'' was named to [[ma:Star Fleet Battle Group Omega|Star Fleet Battle Group Omega]]. Since then, she has been serving on a five-year deep space exploration mission; with the naming of Roberts as the new captain in 2384, the ship embarked on another set of exploration missions, this time to the galactic southwest of the [[ma:Tholian Assembly|Tholian Assembly]].
