There is also a seperation in the branches of the Star Force and the ground forces like the Marines. Jurisdiction and chain of command unlike the Federation is not all under one branch of military like Starfleet. House Fanel take heart to a famous qoutes like from John F. Kennedy, "It is an unfortunate fact that we can secure peace only by preparing for war." And another qoute "Si vis pacem, para bellum." Translation: "If you want peace, prepare for war." It is not the ideal that House Fanel WANTS war with anyone, but the ideal that if ANYone brings war to them, they will be in for a fight. It is only logical for any nation to always be prepare for the worse possible situation and the Milky Way Galaxy, let alone the entire universe is a far more dangerous and hostile place than even the Federation would admit to themselves. Promoting peace and unity is never a bad thing. House Fanel also promotes peace and unity, but just in case they come across a power that wants to fight, any force will be responded in kind.
