Born in Oregon, USA, on Earth, Melissa Hopper was drawn to space at a young age. She had an aptitude for languages, communication, and politics, and brought those strengths with her to the [[Federation Diplomatic Corps]], in which she served for several years as a staffer before becoming an Envoy. Her placement was at the Federation Embassy on [[Alpha Centauri IV]], also known as Velestus by the Centaurans. It was there that she met her future wife, Ansyra, who worked on interplanetary projects as a terraforming expert.
Melissa Hopper, born in Oregon but raised constantly on the move with her family, enjoyed travel and was drawn to space from a young age. Combined with an aptitude for languages and a parental influence towards law and politics, this interest led her to the [[Federation Diplomatic Corps]] - serving as a staffer for several years before becoming an Envoy at the Federation Embassy on [[Alpha Centauri IV]]. It was there she met her future wife, Ansyra, a terraforming expert and consultant on interplanetary projects.

Several years later, the two married and decided to seek out a quieter life - eventually settling on [[Theta VII]], an old frontier mining and agricultural world, where they oversaw the operations of a large high-tech hydroponic farm estate. There, with some help from 24th century medicine, they also had their two children. Melissa carried Robin and Ansyra carried Kerilyn. The two have always joked about that fact that each sister seemed to take more after their non-birth mothers.</div>
After the two married, they relocated to [[Theta VII] in search of a quieter life, and took over management of a hydroponic farming estate. With a little help from advanced Centauran medical technologies, they had two children together (Melissa carrying the elder sister, Robin, and Ansyra carrying the younger Kerilyn). The two have always joked about that fact that each sister seemed to take more after their *other* mother.</div>

When Robin was six years old, her mothers decided they wanted to have a second child. At first outraged by their decision, Robin came around to it eventually - around the time Keri turned three. At that point, Robin decided she was cute enough to be accepted into the family. The two would feud again later, when Robin was in her teenage years, which Keri once described as "exceptionally stupid and awkward". Since then, the two have worked things out (mostly), with Robin attributing much of their improved relationship to the long time she's spent away from home while studying, citing the old adage that 'absence makes the heart grow fonder.'

Keri is currently studying Politics and History at university on Tellar Prime.
Keri will soon complete her degree in Politics and History at Tellar Prime University.

BIOGRAPHY</div>
A passionate legal advocate, specializing in interstellar law, Lynn was often called on to advise on matters of diplomacy and interstellar trade - though she herself never worked for the Federation Diplomatic Corps directly. While attending a conference regarding the Romulan Star Empire and the Federation's concerns regarding the Treaty of Algeron, she unexpectedly met Rick Hopper - a befulled young geologist who arrived a week early for a scientific conference. The two hit it off and attended both conferences together before deciding to spend some time travelling together. Eventually, they settled briefly after getting married, but work had both of them on the move again shortly thereafter, along with their two children.</div>

BIOGRAPHY</div>
After graduating with a degree in Geology from the University of California, Rick Hopper began a decades-long career travelling throughout the continental United States (and later, internationally) studying geological phenomena. After a mix-up regarding the correct dates of a conference he was meant to attend, he ran into his future wife, Lynn, who was attending a legal conference on the Federation's stance towards the Romulan Star Empire following the Treaty of Algeron. The subject was totally out of Rick's depth, but he was so drawn to Lynn that he attended numerous day-long talks about it in order to spend time in her company.

The two would later marry and settle briefly in Oregon before resuming their travels, with two children in tow.</div>

BIOGRAPHY</div>
Robin has always found her Centauran grandfather a somewhat mysterious figure, as he and her grandmother, Phoenyra, never married. Her work kept her land-bound and he, as a marine biologist, would spend months or years at sea. It is perhaps no surprise, then, that his presence in their daughter, Ansyra's, life was fairly minimal - and that this trend would continue with his grandchildren as well, whom he has only met on a couple of occasions around holidays.

He is a boisterous and adventurous man, which Robin always liked to romanticize in her mind, but the truth is, she does not know him well.</div>

Growing up, Robin always idolized her grandmother as a personal hero. While she didn't fully comprehend Phoenyra's work as a child, she did understand that her grandmother was some sort of scientist and was involved in biological studies and, subsequently, holographic technology development.

Phoenyra was part of the Centauran-led team that developed the modern Federation Holodeck in the mid-24th century, following up and improving on decades of work into the earlier "Rec Room" technologies, in order to recreate more immersive and lifelike simulated environments.</div>
