I'm Tom, I work in education and at the time of creating this page (June 2024) I've been with the fleet for almost a year. I was first assigned to the [[USS Oumuamua]] in the summer of 2023, and I transferred with everyone to the [[USS Octavia E Butler]] after we elected to blow a hole in our preceding ship. Outside of this, I am a member of the [https://www.starbase118.net/author/thomasedwardsanderson/ newsies team] and I've just recently joined the monthly fleet chat team.
 
I am often found on the discord posting memes and finding as many ways as possible to annoy the senior staff.

Lhandon is the assistant Cheif Of Operations on the [[USS Octavia E Butler]] & he previously served as a '''helm, communications, and operations officer''' aboard the [[USS Oumuamua|USS ''Oumuamua'']]. Sherlock has nicknamed the HCO as Number 16, and at this time, Nilsen does not know why. He's a good kid, but he's got a bit of a temper and he's known for rushing head-first into situations.

I'm often found playing TTRPG's such as D&D and Masks: The New Generation. My university dissertation called "How are Friendships formed and maintained in the shared experience of TTRPG's" and I'm looking to start my masters course in applied positive Psychology in September '24
 
I'm also dyslexic, which means that sometimes sims and writing can get a little tricky for me, fortunately I've found a wonderful group of people who are mega supportive in the fleet and I've also got a bunch of tools to help me.

I was in a handful of writing groups, including some for pro-wresting but none of them seemed to click for me and I never really found my place or my footing. Feeling a bit disenfranchised, I hit the googles not expecting much, I just knew I wanted to do Star Trek. I was drawn in by how professorial the front page was and convinced to join in by the wiki which seemed to scratching an itch I didn't knew I had. When I signed up, I found the format of the sims really suited me and as I entered the fleet, I was overjoyed to know that I was supported to improve my writing by my mentors, [[V'Len Kel]] and then when he transferred to the Ronin, [[Avander Promontory]]
