The '''USS ''Marigold''''' is an NPC ''Intrepid'' class Starfleet vessel commanded by Captain Koth Th’shrysrir. Its primary mission is science and exploration, with its theatre of operation being the surrounding areas of Starbase 173, near the Romulan Neutral Zone. | |||
Historically, there have been a number of ships bearing the name Marigold, with the prefixes HMS and USS. | |||
As well as this, famous explorer Sir Francis Drake commanded an expedition around the world from 1577 to 1580. His fleet contained five ships: the Pelican (later renamed the Golden Hind), Elizabeth, Swan, Christopher, and the Marigold. | |||
