Lovingly nicknamed "Murphy", Norström was her Scandinavian soul friend for over forty years until his untimely death ripped hers apart.


Originally from Sweden, Norström was talented in electrical engineering and would meet Wallace Finch at an electrics seminar in England sometime during his early years, a meeting that would soon lead to friendship. It was later on that Wallace would introduce him to Doz during one of their many social gatherings in Birmingham.

Although a trio of great friends, Wallace eventually pursued his ambition to join Starfleet, neglecting their unwell mother in the process and marking a small feud between him and his sister. Seeing how frustrated and upset she was, Norström chose to remain behind and help her with her many responsibilities, from housekeeping to maintaining and fixing the myriad of machines left behind by Doz's brothers.
 
Putting their heads together, the two eventually became "the local mechanics", helping the neighbours with their own broken down equipment or shuttles, and developing their skills in the process. They eventually joined Starfleet as Enlisted Officers themselves, sharing postings on the USS Bonestell and in the late 2380s, the [[USS Marigold]], where he met his fate.

Socially awkward, emotionally stinted but quite clever, Wallace was the "inventor" of the family, preferring to mash components together to create interesting mechanical contraptions that seldom ever worked properly.
 
He was for the most part Doz's first best friend. Although a difficult person, she always gave him the benefit of the doubt, believing that he just couldn't help it and was simply hardwired that way.
