Arturo Maxwell: Difference between revisions

Born in Jedburgh, Scotland, Arturo is the second of three children and the first to leave home. Attempting to enlist in the Starfleet Marines the day after his eighteenth birthday, Maxwell had made the mistake of a heavy drinking session with his friends the night before after being informed his on/off high school sweetheart was heavily pregnant. Nursing a hangover as well as being generally unfit his previously arranged medical interview did not go well, and he was refused entry to the service.

Learning from this early mistake however, Maxwell spent his time studying at a night school, working as a Civilian Storesman in a Starfleet storage yard courtesy of his mother - running to and from the yard for his shifts - and hitting the gym. It was during this period of work and night school that the responsibility of fatherhood was literally dumped into Maxwell's unprepared and initially unwilling lap, meaning that when not working or at the gym, Maxwell's free time was spent at his parents home with his - once-again - ex-girlfriends unwanted daughter, Amelia.

Maxwell decided that he wanted everything that was the best for his daughter, and after managing to greatly improve his fitness he was accepted into Starfleet Academy on his second attempt, reluctantly leaving Amelia behind with her grandparents.
