Born in the outskirts of Edinburgh, Scotland on Earth, Maverick was brought up in a pretty close knitted family. His father worked as a communications engineer while his mother ran a cafe. His younger sister Siobhan was an artist who would spend her time creating art pieces for travelling visitors to Earth and his sister Laura was studying to become a linguistic teacher, spending her time helping children learn the various languages from the Federation.
