{{Heading|Background|teal}}{{Heading|Background|teal}} | {{Heading|Background|teal}}Piweh was born on 23720505 in the medium sized coral settlement of Saros (population 2568) on
Yalena (Althos IV) The biological parent that gave birth to him, was named Forb, the other one was a
stranger to Forb. They grew up being raised like most of his species, as a member of the hunting group
of the parent that birthed him, who referred to themselves as the “Quick Hands” their earliest year
unremarkable. Piweh excelled in their Clerical apprenticeship.
They did so well that they was selected to receive further education at “Archer Academy Yalena
Campus” a Federation school on the Island of Qiaq, on a scholarship. They made friends of many
species, including other Bzzit Khats, some of who he is still in contact with. They were a fine student,
and a decent athlete, playing soccer in particular. When not in class, studying, practicing and playing
soccer, or hanging out with their friends, Piweh spent a lot of time in their bathtub keeping their skin
hydrated. Weekends were often spent on the beach, and for them and their Bzzit Khat friends that
meant mostly playing in the ocean.
The first big trauma of Piweh’s life came when they were in ninth grade. The local volcano erupted and
many were injured. Piweh themselves were taken to the E.R. at Qiaq General Hospital South, with 40%
external third degree burns including places on their face, torso, neck and limbs. It was here that they
encountered the miracle of Federation medicine, as well as the professionalism, and efficiency of the
staff It was then that they knew that they wanted to pursue a career in medicine to help people in the
same way. | |||
After they graduated from A.A.Y.C., Piweh pursued a path into the medical field, leaving their home
planet for the first time. They chose Bolarus XI as their first destination for a University education, most
especially because of the easy access to water. Just missing the mark to get into the Bolian Academy of
Appled Sciences, they got placed in an only slightly less impressive Boletsu National University, on an
academic scholarship; their Soccer playing never becoming good enough to pursue an athletic
scholarship. | |||
Piweh spent most of their time studying hard, playing pickup soccer, or swimming in the school’s
Olympic sized swimming pool. Light weekends afforded them more time to visit the beach.
Piweh would go on to earn an Associates in Science (Biology), a Bachelor’s in Nursing, a Master’s in
Premed, all at Bolestsu N.U. It was during their second to last year that Piweh happened upon a job fair
on the quad, where they often went to play pickup soccer games. A 15 minute conversation with an
Ensign convinced them to apply to the Academy for their Medical Doctorate.
The next year and a half were a whirl-wind of exams. Med School texts, the Academy exam, their final
coursework all within an 18 month period.
San Francisco was right on the water’s edge, and they enjoyed their rare free time with more pickup
soccer, and swimming skipping the pool altogether for the Pacific Ocean. When they filled out their duty
preferences they asked for either a vessel with a Cetacean Ops, or an installation with a pool or a natural
lake, river, or ocean. However it was not to be, and the newly minted Doctor/Ensign will learn to adapt,
as they always have to their new home on a Saber class vessel.{{Heading|Background|teal}}
