Born and raised in Betazed. Karen was born on July 31st 2368 in the of city Rixx home of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx on the planet of Betazed to Robert Stendhal and Sasha. She has one sibling, an young brother, Tom Stendhal. Her parents had met during university.

Her parents, Robert Stendhal and Sasha, met during their university years. Her mother pursued a career as a teacher, while her father followed his passion for music. Karen has a younger brother named Tom Stendhal.
The mother become a Teacher and the father become a musician.  
Karen has round blue eyes that are like two gems. Her silky, wavy, very long hair is the color of gold. She is averagely tall and has and has a curvy build. Her skin is light tanned.


The human origin of her name, the unusual eyes and hair colour are to be attributed to the grandfather: Julien Stendhal from Earth/France.  
With round, captivating blue eyes that resemble precious gems and a mane of silky, wavy, golden hair that cascades down her back, Karen possesses striking features. She stands at an average height and boasts a curvy physique, complementing her light tan complexion.


Karen had a peacefully and nice childhood near Lake El-Nar where the family moved, she develop a natural skill of healing and to help people. She also loves arts and music and she helped the brother Tom to join the art school. with him they did also few art exhibition.  
Karen's human origins, along with her distinctive eye and hair colors, can be traced back to her grandfather, Julien Stendhal, who hailed from Earth, specifically France.


When she was teenager she spent a while with a family friend called Roger Reventlov. With the permission of her parents he bring Karen for six months as civilian on the spaceship where he was working as Doctor, she really loved that experience and she decided to study medicine and psicology after that.
Growing up, Karen enjoyed a tranquil and pleasant childhood in the vicinity of Lake Mitzawal, where her family had relocated. During this time, she developed a natural aptitude for healing and assisting others. Her passion for the arts and music was also evident, and she played a pivotal role in guiding her brother, Tom, to enroll in an art school. Together, they even organized several art exhibitions.


She studied medicine and psicology at the university of Rixx and she was about to choose to work for the local hospital in Rixx, but again Roger Reventlov convinced her to try to join Starfleet.
When she was a teenager, she spent some time with a family friend named Roger Reventlov. With her parents' consent, Roger brought Karen along as a civilian on the spaceship where he served as a doctor for a period of six months. This experience deeply resonated with her, inspiring her to pursue a path in medicine and psychology.
As Roger is like an uncle for Karen she followed his suggestion and she joined the academy.


After the Academy her first assingnment is abord the USS Columbia as Conseulor, in this position Karen made her first experience as Starfleet officer.
Subsequently, Karen enrolled in the University of Rixx, where she studied both medicine and psychology. Initially, she contemplated working at the local hospital in Rixx upon graduation. However, Roger Reventlov, who held a special place in Karen's life akin to that of an uncle, encouraged her to consider joining Starfleet. Trusting his guidance, Karen followed his advice and embarked on her journey at the academy.


Unfortunately during the mission on the Esper Colony 'Safe Harbour', the USS Columbia didn't make because the attack of the Ya-Grhans.
After graduating from the Academy, Karen embarked on her first assignment aboard the USS Columbia as a Counselor. In this role, she gained her initial experience as a Starfleet officer.

After that Karen has been transfered aboard the Starbase 118 where she got at first the position of medical officer.  
In 239705 When the denobulan Counselour Malko decided to leave the station, Karen took her counselor job back.


Her office aboard the Station was looking more or less like her one aboard of USS Columbia, or at least in her mind it was. A large sofa next to a smaller one with a tea table, few chairs, a big holographic painting representing the pink lake of Mitzawal with the forest cherry of happiness in flower. A desk with lots of pads in a corner.
Regrettably, during a mission to the Esper Colony known as 'Safe Harbour,' the USS Columbia faced a tragic fate due to an attack by the Ya-Grhans.
 
Following this devastating event, Karen was reassigned to Starbase 118, initially serving as a medical officer. Her office on the station bore a striking resemblance to her office aboard the USS Columbia, or at least that's how she envisioned it. It featured a spacious sofa alongside a smaller one with a tea table, a few chairs, and a prominent holographic painting depicting the serene pink lake of Mitzawal adorned with the blossoming cherry trees of happiness.
